The Grizzly Bare Waxing Studio was created in November of 2009 by Jessica Rouse, a Canadian esthetician with a passion for skin care! This unique and specialized Studio has filled a void in Missoula; Jessica saw the need for devotion to waxing and was determined to bring it.
From delicate brow sculpting to custom-shaped Brazilian wax services, artistic flare is something you’re sure to find at this Studio. We’re not about Plain Jane at this place! WAXOLOGIST / OWNER – JESSICA ROUSE
Most of my life experiences have involved being an artist — painting, sculpting, photography and anything crafty. When I eventually recognized my strong interest in skin care, and completed my training at the Blanche MacDonald Centre in Vancouver, BC, I was led to the wonderful world of waxing. I knew I had stumbled upon a career choice that would satisfy my artistic being while providing me the opportunity to give hands-on care to others.
When I moved to Missoula in May 2009, I was determined to give Missoula something I felt it needed — a studio devoted to waxing. Opening The Grizzly Bare was my chance to follow my dream and to help others feel great about themselves. As you will see, waxing is my passion, and I love what I do!

WAXOLOGIST – KARMA BAKER
I began my passion for Esthetics and waxing through pursuing a degree in Psychology. I have always had a passion for helping others feel and look their most beautiful, therefore the idea of combining the two came to fruition! Through exclusive training with Anastasia Brow Studio at Nordstrom Michigan Avenue, I developed customized arch techniques for client brow design and further refined my artistry in body waxing.
A native Montanan, I have come to call Missoula home after living and working in Chicago for the last few years. My Esthetic experiences from Nordstrom to unique ‘grass roots’ spas have lead me to the charming niche that is The Grizzly Bare.

WAXOLOGIST – KAY BOUDREAUX-PERSSON
Having missed an opportunity to attend esthetics school in Seattle years ago, I wasn’t sure if I would ever get the chance again. But the stars aligned a few years later after I had returned to Missoula, and I was one of the lucky first graduates of the Montana Academy of Skin Care! I always knew I wanted to be a skin care professional; facials, chemical peels, waxing, etc., but it turns out that my true calling is being a waxologist. I absolutely love making my clients feel comfortable and relaxed while creating the best look for each individual person. Although I enjoy the other aspects of esthetics, I feel that my artistic and creative skills are best utilized when waxing.
I am a Louisiana native but have been living in the northwest for the last twelve years. I have a passion for life and love everything that Missoula has to offer me, my husband and our two Schnauzers. I look forward to serving you at The Grizzly Bare and meeting all of your waxing needs!
